FX2N-485-BD-Modbus Communication Module is a communication board for RS485 connected to the base unit for of the FX2N Series programmable controller to be use for the following applications.Data transfer using no protocol. ii. Data transfer using dedicated protocol. iii.Data transfer using the parallel link. iv. Data transfer using N:N network. Communication Distance for 1. No Protocol or Dedicated Protocol. When using dedicated protocol, max.16 stations including A series programmable controller 2. Parallel Link: When using 485BD in system, this distance is 50m. (No use : max. 500m) But, when using FX2-40AW in system, this distance is 10m. 3. N:N Network.

Two-pair wiring:
When using 485BD in the system, total extension distance is 50m (No use : max. 500m), max.8 stations. Twisted pair cable is use for RS485 communication. For twisted pair cable connected terminal resistor 330Ω between terminal SDA and SDB as well as RDA RDB, for one-pair wiring 110Ω. RXD and TXD LED Instruction for Data transmission: If the RD (RXD) LED is not lit while data is received or the SD (TXD) LED is not lit while data is sent, check the installation and the wiring. and when the RD (RXD) LED is lit while data is received or the SD (TXD) LED is lit while data is sent, the installation and the wiring are correct.
